Who doesn't love sisig?
It's so high in fat and cholesterol, yet you can't help but drool over it.
Why? Because its ingredients are so bad its gives you a good buzz afterwards.
3 weeks ago, I made a sizzling discovery. Of all places, can you believe I found delicious sisig at SM Foodcourt. The place is called Sisig Hooray and they offer fresh sisig, made in front of you.
This place is always packed and there's a long line at the counter and I don't wonder why. Their pork sisig is one of the best I've had.
The ingredients are freshly chopped. And presented like Mongolian Barbecue. Chopped liver. Onions. Chopped pork. Chicharon. Crushed Peppers. Sesame oil. and the mustard-looking "Special Sauce". All over mixed in a bowl then microwaved. The oil is so thick you could see the "sebo", how divine. Chicharon and sili is added last. You can also opt to remove the parts you don't like.
To add drama to your meal is the burly man chopping the chicharon and the "pigue" part of the pork in rhythmic cadences. Not only do you get a yummy meal, you get treated to a drumline chorus.
And the end result is a flavorful, crunchy, delicious sisig you'll ever taste. Take my word for it. It's very,very good.
What I like about their sisig - They don't cheat and scrimp on ingredients, they use pork but not the icky parts you don't see, head cheese and all. You could see the lechon chopped right before you.
What makes me uncomfortable - The plastic containers used to heat the sisig. Most are already damaged from the constant heating of the food.
What they offer - Pork sisig P51, Chicken Sisig P51, and Bangus sisig P 61 Barkada blowout (good for 4) P130 really cheap and hits the spot! The quality of the rice is not good so I recommend buying rice from nearby Jollibee.
