Hole in the Wall, Century City Mall

There used to be place in Makati called Streetlife, where people were introduced to passport dining. Streetlife had a couple of different food offers under one roof, there were stalls offering chinese, mexican, italian, grilled and more. It was much like an upscale foodcourt, that's how felt when we tried Hole in the Wall at Century city Mall. Yeah, we're that old :)

Hole in the wall gathers some of the great  foodie finds under one roof. Kwong's Provisions for modern Chinese, the famous Bad Bird for fried chicken, Scout's honor for cookies, Mr. Delicious for NY deli style sandwiches and more.

We tried ordering around and we got stuffed awesomely, Hole In The Wall is a great place to chill and pigout. The lones are long at Big Bird for their umami style fried chicken. We followed the queue since this has the consistent long lines.

We tried their Chicken and waffles. This is awesome. The bird is well seasoned and big. The chicken comes in varying degrees of spicyness and stuck with the regular. This can be shared by two. And we ordered also the dirty rice on the side. The rice was disapointingly cold and the chicken wasn't off the pan hot. The skin is crunchy and eating the chicken can test how you hold your salt. Its umami overload!

Next, we continue our "kain bitay" journey with Mr. Delicious. We ordered the BLT (bacon lettuce tomato) because bacon just makes the world go round.

The bacon is in thick slabs and is salted and cured to perfection. Loved this man-sized sandwich served with sweet potAto chips. We also ordered the bacon tater tots, which took time to prepare. This was also a must-try.

Next stop is Chef Miko Aspiras' Scout's Honor where the yummiest cookies are. Here you customize your own cookie, choosing from the dough to the toppings and they will bake it and serve it to you. To minimize wait time, we opted for the ready baked cookies and this frankenstein monstrosity that looks like brownies on steroids.

Here are some of the other choices at hole in the wall, we willl be targetting kwong's provisions soft shelled crab po boy next.

Hole in the wall is located at the 5th level of Century city mall makati above the cinemas. Expect long lines during dinner times
