burger re-mastered

When it comes to turning food into an art form, nobody beats the Japanese.

Kobayashi-san has made the humble hamburger his magnum opus.

Who would've thought there are more dimensions to burgers you haven't tasted yet?

And at Sango, these divinely delicious buns have found a home. (no pun intended)

Located near Makati Cinema Square, Sango used to be the hidden secret tucked between recording studios and the girlie bars of Amorsolo St. now they also have expanded to Ortigas.

This place is worth visiting, it's like you're transported to a small eating place in Japan. The ambiance is so Japanese, the place is full of anime comic books, people are friendly, and the flat screen constantly plays Japanese game shows.

You DEFINITELY have to experience their master burger. A generous hamburger that comes with a big hefty piece of tomato in between and for the piece de resistance- Japanese style sloppy joe. Yes its messy to eat but who cares? Trying their burger is like biting into a piece of heaven, with every bite deliciously satisfying those burger pangs. Add some wedge fries and a vanilla milkshake then you're good to go. After discovering the place our creative director boss ate nothing but 2 master burgers everyday for a week. It's that good.

Worth mentioning is the tonkatsu burger. Ever tried pork chop sandwich? Is it good? You betcha!

A Japanese burger place won't be complete with rice burgers. McDonald's came up with theirs last year but it pales in comparison to Kobayashi-san's offer. Sango's stuff is made of beef teriyaki. 'Nuff said.
